DIRECTIONS TO GAME FIELDS
CARLISLE MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS LACROSSE
Carlisle Middle School Girls lacrosse field is located at
Carlisle Barracks. Carlisle Barracks is about two miles west of
the Carlisle interchange of the PA turnpike and Interstate 76.
Traveling from I-81 or 1-76, take US Route
11 South. From the turnpike interchange, travel 1.2 miles and
turn left at the 2nd stoplight (Harmony Hall Drive). Next, turn
right on Claremont Road (should see a Blue sign indicating
Carlisle Barracks). Travel approximately 1 mile until you come
the Carlisle Barracks Vehicle Access point. You'll see another
blue sign that says turn left to enter Carlisle Barracks. Turn
left and go straight ahead. (Note: DO NOT PROCEED TO YOUR RIGHT
THROUGH THE VEHICLE ACCESS CHECK POINT BECAUSE IT SENDS YOU TO A
GATE GUARD AND A ONE LANE ENTRY ONTO THE MAIN POST OF CARLISLE
BARRACKS. WE'RE NOT ON MAIN POST, WE'RE RIGHT NEXT TO OUR GOLF
COURSE). As you go straight ahead look to your left and you'll
see the lacrosse field...can't miss it. Just before the stop
sign and railroad tracks (about 100 yards from Claremont Rd)
turn left on a gravel road and you can park there right next to
the field.
If you are coming from the West, take Rt
11/Hanover Street heading east through the town of Carlisle,
pass Carlisle Barracks old entrance on the right (this is now an
exit only and you'll see a nice brick "US Army War College"
sign) after you pass the old entrance go approx 1/2 mile and
turn right on Post Road. This road parallels the east side of
the post for about 1/2 mile. At the stop sign, turn right on
Claremont Road and go 1/4 mile and turn left following the same
directions above with the lacrosse field on
your left.
There are maps and directions to Carlisle
Barracks on the Web Site below.

GUIDANCE
· If possible, should have two officials. Both teams share
official’s fees and pay on site @ $45 per official. Home team
coordinates for official’s and provides directions.
· We will follow USLacrosse 2003 “Official Rules for Girls and
Women’s Lacrosse”. We’ll use Level A (Under 15) modified
checking. This is defined as checking the stick if it’s below
shoulder level, using a downward motion away from the player’s
body.
· Duration of the game is 25 minutes per half, running clock,
except clock stops on whistle in last 2 minutes.
· Free position will be taken at the center by the team with
fewer goals if a four or more goal differential exists.
· Make-up games will be coordinated by coaches.
· For the 31 May Middle School Sportsmanship games, the majority
voted for a team integrity format, with running a 10 minute
round robin rotation among all teams.
